Major Nidal Malik Hasan: the Hater as Victim
Written by Moeursalen
I wonder if "innocent until proven guilty" applies to Nidal Malik Hassan. President Obama cautioned in a TV appearance that we should rush to judgment until "we know all the facts." However, I suppose we can draw conclusions about thirteen dead soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas. They were heroes, and they were shot down with malice at the hands of a man they had accepted into the brotherhood and sisterhood of military service. Must I add that obligatory but often absurd word required by the legal profession: Allegedly?
Already, there are obvious indications that these murders are being handled as a psychological matter rather than the political and human tragedy it is. Here's a bit of what some people are saying about Nidal Malik Hasan:
The Army major who killed thirteen people in a Fort Hood, Texas shooting spree was frustrated, harassed by colleagues and superiors, and opposed to military actions inIraq and Afghanistan. To sympathizers trying to develop this narrative, it won't matter that the military has been for many decades an all-volunteer force and that one swears to uphold all lawful orders whether one agrees with them or not. Nor will it matter that Hasan was commissioned an officer with little of the extreme hardship and sacrifices borne by most members of the military, enlisted and officer class alike, and inclusive of their families. It won't matter to terror apologists that Major Hasan went straight from college to a highly paid, privileged, and prestigious military job that required little in the way of military orthodoxy, except for the primary condition of being taken at your word to serve and protect the United States of America.
There were ominous clues regarding Hasan's vicious attack, but few clues were significant enough to warrant intervention in today's climate of political correctness. Hasan was reported on CNN to have obtained counsel to assist with his complaint of being harassed by the military. That the military paid for Hasan's education and that he owed the Army years of service for the educational costs incurred, and for the contract he signed, does not enter into the equation for those disposed to explain away the losses and damage done to self-sacrificing people who protect and defend America. We must now protect sensitivities in preference to lives.
There is developing now a "blame the Army" contingent which questions whether the Army selection procedures may not have been proactive enough in diagnosing and containing Major Hasan. This rationalization was introduced on CNN where Alexis Witt advanced the notion with Retired Colonel Jack Jacobs, employed by the network as a military consultant.
"The Army might have flagged him for deployment" said Colonel Jacobs, a decorated Vietnam veteran.
While Jacobs noted there were plenty of behavioral indications of Hasan's state of mind, he appeared to scorn the idea that an army major operating in the medical corps could have been subjected to any particular harassment or unusual stress. The same question was raised by Jane Skinner on the Fox Network with Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, who seemed to have succumbed to the strained liberal logic. Hutchinson was content with the favored mantra of Mass Murder Redux--Hasan was merely a "deranged person."
"Despair and anger" and "not terrorism" was cited by another CNN professional, Roger Cressey, former national security council staffer and sometime former foreign policy advisor to Barack Obama. Cressey sounded like an amateur psychologist, cautioning against applying a "broad brush" in making any links to terror.
The major news networks say they have confirmed with the military that Hasan received his orders for overseas deployment. Neighbors said Hasan told them he was cleaning out his apartment to get ready for deployment. The cleanup was premature—Hasan wasn't supposed to be deploying until after Thanksgiving.
The unmarried 39 year old Hasan is reported to have kept a 300 dollar apartment off base, unusual for an officer who could stay in the more comfortable and free Officer's Quarters. According to acquaintances, Hasan was rarely if ever seen in uniform and had begun to wear traditional Muslim garments—robes and white hat. Witness reported that Hasan shouted the traditional exhortation of militant Islam before he opened up-- "Allah Akhbar!"
For his part, Robert Gibbs was unable to respond to a reporter's question during a press briefing today.
"At what point does an attack of this sort become characterized as a terrorist attack?"
Press Secretary Gibbs was dismissive as he advised the reporter to ask that question of the FBI. I'm not sure that answer is "transparency" of the sort that Barack Obama espouses but no doubt the FBI will note that Nidal Malik Hasan looks like a duck and walks like a duck. With the newly imposed limitations placed upon domestic and foreign surveillance operators under the Obama administration, however, it remains an open question as to whether they will be able to identify him publicly as a duck.

Educated terrorist
Last night I saw on SBS news a video footage of Major Nidal Malik Hasan in a grocery shop just a day before the shooting. He was wearing a skull cap, had beard, and was dressed like a typical Mullah. Plus, one of the Mullahs of the mosque he used to visit said Nidal Malik was a devout Muslim. This goes on to prove that the assassin was well versed with Islamic (terrorist) scriptures and he did all those acts in accordance with the guidelines in his scriptures. Never ever trust a Muslim in Islamic attire and that prays 5 times a day.
One must never trust a
One must never trust a Muslim, period, whether in Islamic attire or not. Muslims worship a terrorist and will try to emulate him. It does not matter how they dress. It is what they believe that makes them dangerous.
I don’t know how many more people should die before people wake up and see Muslims around them as the enemy.
Moslem first
Where ever these moslem scum bags live be it in islamic shit holes or in infidel land, the first thing all moslems say is first they are moslem scum bags and then american/Indian/British etc.The first thought of these scum bag moslems is exactly the same all over the world.
All moslem scum bags are
All moslem scum bags are guilty unless proved otherwise and that too only if proved otherwise over a long period of time or until the scum bags deny the existence of mohammad and the allah the pimp or renounce islam publically.Any one who renounces islam publically must be given a shahda to pronounce openly
Mohammad was an arse hole rapist and allah the pimp is the supplier of girls.
Islam is the shit hole thought of a brain dead rapist pedophile.
I renounce islam,I renounce islam.
Death to allah and let mohammad rot in hell.
Piss ,pus, putrid pigs meat be on mohammad and allah.
This shada can easily convert any one to a true human being from islamic bandicoot
I served in the US Army for
I served in the US Army for 20 years mostly in combat units and I know for a fact that commissioned officers have preferential treatments compared to noncommissioned officers like me, let alone a major in a medical unit. Life was too easy for this officer that he had plenty of time worrying about religion rather than worrying about the lives of his soldiers when sent to combat. I'm not really sure if he acts like that because of his mindset as a medical officer or because he is a Muslim, but I think it is a combination of both.
This guy is a devout Muslim.
This guy is a devout Muslim. He opposed the fighting in the middle east, he tried to convert some of his patients, he went to terrorists websites, and he argued with those who supported the war. The fact he was a medical officer has nothing to do with his mindset.
Last year an American soldier ( who was also a shia Muslim ) was killed in Afghanistan. From what I heard in the news, this guy enlisted after 9/11 to fight the terrorists. He worked as an interpretor in the field ( his family was from Pakistan ) and stated the terrorists are not his brothers. Yes he was harassed by his fellow officers for his religion.
I thought this website is not about Hate
I am disappointed, I thought this website is not about Hate. This is no different than the Hate Islam is preaching about. The comments section on this website is disgusting.
You are generalizing people, judging everyone of them without thinking that a lot of them were born in Islamic country and families. You are outright judging the would be Humanist, Atheist or Christians and driving them to become more radical Muslims.
Attack the doctrine, hate it all you want, mock their beliefs if you want, but why are you preaching hate against people? You think you are the enlightened one, but you are no different than they are.
The many people who left Islam is enough evidence that they could be enlightened and that there's goodness and sense in them, yet you judged them all and placed them in the category of evil.
All of you who left Islam, remember that you onced followed the Islam doctrine, don't be a hypocrite. You once were blind, and now that you can see, you are judging those who are still blind and preaching people to hate them.
It is not criticism of Islam
It is not criticism of Islam that drives Muslims to become terrorist. It is Islam that drives Muslims to become terrorist. I cannot standby and say nothing while Muslims are out butchering people and Muslims who do not stand up against the terrorists need to be criticized for standing by and doing nothing.
Boniknik the Coward
Have you ever read on this site that one of us is going to blow up a mosque or kill muslims?
Why are you are angry at us for criticizing a mass murderer & the muslims who give him their moral support.Try attacking Malik, who felt justyfied to slaughter for Allah.
Boniknik
Please read carefully what Boniknik is trying to say. He (She) is trying to say that don’t turn away people who may visit this website for some wisdom.
Sometimes life is too precious to be obsessed with something over which we have no control. This will destroy your creativity. For many people religion defines their lives and once they become too obsessed with it, it robs them of their creativity and sometimes of humanity.
If you want to show these people that one can live a life full with kindness to fellow beings and understanding of the nature and universe without resorting to mindless parroting of useless scriptures, you have to show your own understanding of humanity (I think Ali Sina’s wriitng has that).
Calling people simply “scum” will not solve anything, it is so much counter-productive that this will eventually make the very objective of this website obsolete. Regards.
Its the religion stupid!
Have you noticed it is always the most religious Muslims that carry out terrorist acts.
If Islam was really peaceful dont you think it would be the least religious Muslims who would end up committing these terrorists acts?
This is why you can never trust the religious Muslims, especially those Muslims that become more religious over time. You never know when they will snap.
Probably best to keep away from these religious Muslims
This web site is not about hate!
Boniknik,
No one is preaching hate against average peaceful Muslims. An average Muslim is no different than you and me, who wants nothing more than to lead a good, happy life in prosperity and safety. The problem we have is with Islam and radical Muslims who believe in hurting innocent people. That is the kind of ideology and people I hate, and so should you.
Hi BoniknikTo put my two
Hi Boniknik
To put my two cents in, I must say that I have many Muslim friends and family members that I have been talking with since this shootings terrorism occurred, and believe me, non of them has ever looked in the Qur'an in their life time, and when I try to quote certain pertinent verses from Qur'an to show them that this event was more than a guy gone nuts they laugh, joke, and change the subject on me, as if I were talking rubbish.
Some Muslims are like that. They are no more Muslim than the man on the moon, they have no clue that Muhammad said hate the Jews, Christians, murder them as he did himself, or any of other things he said or did , or how many wives he had.
Now, I know that the disease of the Islamic theology, teachings and mind set is there ( I was there myself ), it is in all Muslims, but like cancer, in some it is in remission. Some people have a more severe case of this disease and are at its advance stage ( Like Malik Hassan ), and some have a milder case. But the disease is there by definition, as we know from the Qur'an and hadith teachings. It is no secret that in demonstrations in England and elsewhere in Europe we see signs saying ' Islam will take over the world '. We see embassies set on fire , and the mob who killed 150 of their own Muslim brothers and sisters over a few silly cartoons; Children killed in mass in Russian theater and also in school, several hundred; or a teacher, a grandma, was condemned to death simply because her kindergarten age kids named a toy teddy-bear ' Muhammad ' . Operas in Germany were cancelled because it had a scene about Islam. And the guy who made a movie showing the brutality of Islam towards women had his throat cut and stabbed to death while riding his bike to work in Denmark. These are the kind of things that a hateful people do, and they are hateful because they are taught hatefulness.
Publication of scholarly books were banned because of a picture or a cartoon in it, or authors receiving death sentence for their writings. Which civilized society does these kind of things. Why does the world allow a few percent of their population, the Muslims, impose their twisted and perverted ways on them. Some 2 % bully the other 98 % of the society.
I can totally see the frustration of those Ex-Muslims who write on these pages. Frustrations with the fact that our President calls this nation a ' muslim ' nation '. Since when 1.5-2.0 % of the muslims in this country made it a muslim nation ? why do news media, White House, Pentagon, Home-Land Security spin the facts and hide the truth about this shooting . Why are we fed all this nonsence . Aren't you upset about it ? What if this guy had a dirty bomb, or some terrible chemical like ' serin ' since he could have easily made it as he was a also a biochemist l. He would have killed hundreds and may be thousands of innocent people.
I wish that more people had the passion and the love that Ali Sina and his friends have for humanity. They work day and night with so much dedication, but why ? for making our world a better place for us, our children and theirs children, and I, only as one who logs on on this site now and then, with no other real contribution , thank them sincerely. May they see the implosion of Islam even in their life time.
Islam is brutal but many moslems aren't
The basic teaching of islam is evil, violent, brutal, mean, cruel, absurd, asinine, foolish, stupid, blind, blunder, cretinoid phew am fast running out of adjectives for the qrandic teaching.
But most moslems are completely unaware of the qrand.Even arabs would not have read the qrand and non arab moslems have only a faint knowledge of islam.
Most moslems do not approve of kafir killing as a pass time! many moslems are decent. Most moslems are monogamous and do not beat their wives. Why they are not coming out against the evil teachings of qrand? Death threat! That's the basic problem. It's like a mafia system.you are in it and that's it.Way out is way up!
I agree Islam is bad, and that it is a hate doctrine
People, Please do not think that I am siding with the terrorists or with Islam or that I am against the criticism of Islam. I totally agree with you.
All I am saying is that, there are lots of Muslims that are open minded, and in the future they could be Humanist/Atheist/Christian. If we close our door to them and outright judge them because of their affiliation with Islam, or because they were born to a family of Muslim, then that chance for conversion is very slim.
I live in a place surrounded by Muslims, I am doing what I can to try to enlighten them about the hate doctrine of Islam. And I see hope everytime I talk to them. In the past they agree that people should be hanged, cut off their fingers or limbs, but now they agree with me. If my reaction towards people is hate, then how could I preach against hate? If my solution is to avoid them and distrust them outright, then there is no chance for conversion.
The would be Hasan, could be a future Atheist/Humanist/Christian, let us not preach hate against people, they too are victims, and as for us who claim to be enlightened our goal should be to lead them instead of avoid them or dump them in the category of Evil or enemy. Our enemy is Islam and the hate doctrines, not the people.
The solution is engagement, instead of avoidance, education instead of hate. My neighbors knew how much I hate the doctrine of Islam, but they are still my brothers as a member of the human family.
The world need the helping of media
Yes, Islam is the horrible doctrine... we in Indonesia are still waiting for the time when the media tells the truth...
Islam creates hell on earth.
Islam creates hell on earth.
Moslems are stupid to practice islam
Islam is violent, silly, cruel, absurd, inhuman, asinine thoughts of a rapist pedophile.
Most moslems are blindly following this silly allah and rapsit mohammad. Hence moslems are to be condemned.
Those liberal moslems are not coming out openly and strongly against the killing maniac jihadis. This encourages more jihadis. An what may be the reason for not strongly condemning the jihadists strongly?
Only those moslems who pronounce the shahada openly and often are to be believed.
Allah is a pimp and rapist pedophile mohammad is his side kick.Pus,piss, putrid pigs meat be upon both allah and mohammad.
Those moslems who prounounce this shahada repeatedly are to be believed.
Beware of all other moslems skull cap or not bearded or not.
Islam is evil to the core and those moslems who believe this evil can not be anything else other than evil to the core.
We have seen this evil and the evil foot soldiers for 1400 years and stop this evil islam
Dear Boniknik, From your
Dear Boniknik,
From your writings I detect that you are a caring person with a tender heart, and you are on the right web site because.... Ali Sina and his team posses the same attributes. If they did not care and were not so terribly concerned with the 'muslims' , men ,women and children, they wouldn't bother spending so much time, energy and expenses to sound the trumpet of truth.
You are correct to say that some of the commentaries on these pages may be a turn off to some muslims, but that is the price one pays for democracy, the freedom of thought, speech and penmanship. Comments are nice to read. But you may choose to share the main articles, the tabs ' About us , the challenge , debate, ex-muslims ' and in fact all the tabs with your friends.
When you talk about : "All I am saying is that, there are lots of Muslims that are open minded, and in the future they could be Humanist/Atheist/Christian. If we close our door to them and outright judge them because of their affiliation with Islam, or because they were born to a family of Muslim, then that chance for conversion is very slim." And elsewhere you used the word ' preach ' . I suspect that you are a Christian, an evangelical, and even a missionary, and if so, that is wonderful. Of course, the conversion of a muslim into any other belief can happen spontaneously, at the blinking of an eye, but from my personal experience the conversion happens in steps. First a muslim has to realize that the things that he was taught from birth were false. This realization is very very painful. It brings about denial, anger with those, even parents, who taught the person to believe the falsehood, etc. Then since as humans we are ' tribal ' we worry about the reactions from our ' tribes ' if we left Islam. What will the family think of me, what will friends say, what will the neighbors do about it ? These are our ' tribe ' . In some society's the tribe's verdict is, and that's according to the Qur'anic teachings, " Death " to an apostate. So, the first thing is to jolt, shock if you will, the muslim into realizing that all his life was spent in believing a ' falsehood ' ( you noticed I did not say a big lie, though that is what I mean, but falsehood may be a better way of presenting it to a muslim !! ). Ali Sina and his friends are doing that on this site. They are not trying to convert any one to any other belief system but only rescue them from Islam. Have you ever seen a scene in movies or in news clip when an animal like a horse or a cow falls in quick sand or in a mud hole and keep sinking deeper and deeper ? And if the animal is lucky a bunch of people come with ropes, trucks and what have you and literally yank the beast out of the mud . well, that is what we must do with a muslim who is sinking deeper and deeper in the destructive environment that he happened to have fallen in.
Step 2 is what you called ' conversion ' into some other belief system which may take a moment or years to come about. In my own case it took 26 years between leaving Islam and becoming a Christ follower. And please, don't be dishearten if you tried hard to convert a muslim friend or neighbor into something else and it didn't work. Continue to plant the seeds of love and compassion always. Remember that some sew the seed, some water, the Lord provides the rain and the sunshine, and some harvest. The Lord God prepares the heart to receive the Word of "Truth ". Our job is to shine the light of truth, love our muslim brothers and sisters ( love your neighbor as yourself ), and expose the deception of Islam, always.
Grace be with you.
Dear Parviz
Dear Parviz, Thank you for the very kind words. I am a Christian but not the traditional one, And though I believe in God, my Christianity has nothing to do with God as I do not know anything about Him. I say the word "conversion" but the truth is I am not trying to convert anybody, I'd like them to go through the same journey I did, which is about questioning one's own belief system.
Some of us questioned early, some are yet to question and the door for them should always be opened to welcome them when they finally choose to enter it. I believe we should never stop questioning though, never ever.
I agree with you about Ali Sina, I was touched when I read his letter to Esfahani, I was clapping my hands and was teary eyed. Though it was just disappointing to see some comments on this website that are as radical and as hateful as the Islam doctrine.
Everywhere I go, it seems to me that it is the norm, everywhere is infected by hatred. This website was suppose to be a place of people like Ali Sina, but to me it became the melting pot of radical Christians and Zionism. I agree with you, this is the price we have to pay for free speech, still makes me sad but I'd rather be it that way since I too value and enjoy this freedom.
I admire the help and support that this organization offers to those who wish to leave Islam and those who wish to know the truth about it's doctrine.
Have a blessed day.
This site has become the
This site has become the melting pot of radical Christians and Zionism? Obviously you have not been here very long.
Dear Boniknik, It is nice
Dear Boniknik,
It is nice to hear from you. I was correct in my assessment of your belief. What people write and say speak volumes about their value system and personality. If one is discerning enough, one can figure out a person pretty well. There is biblical verse that says, " Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks ". What ever is the most important thing in a person's life, he can't help but talk about it. This is true in everyone's case. In your case there is a lot of caring spirit in your mind and heart.
My Christian walk is also much different to many others. I will not write about it here but if one reads The Beatitudes that Jesus taught in chapter 5 of the Gospel of Matthew one sees that most of today's churches have fallen far short of those principals and doctrines.
But about knowing God, while our finite minds cannot comprehend the infinite mind of God, we can know him by knowing Christ, who said; " If you have seen me you have seen the Father ", and " have I been so long with you and you ask show us the Father ? " So Jesus is knowable through the scriptures. From the first book of the Old Testament, Genesis, to the last book of the New Testament, Revelation, 66 books in all, written over almost 1600 years, by more than 40 authors, among whose number were kings, peasants, philosophers, fishermen, poets, statesmen, scholars, a herdsman, a general, a cupbearer, a doctor, a tax collector, and a rabbi, through all their writings, which were done by inspiration, we see Jesus. Bible was written on three continents: Asia, Africa, and Europe, and in three languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Its subject matter includes hundreds of controversial topics, yet from Genesis right on through to Revelation the authors all spoke with harmony and continuity on the theme of the unfolding story of "God's redemption of humanity." And you see Christ through out all of it. So there is a lot of information about Him, therefore, about God . That is a subject matter not for discussion on this site. My point is that God is Knowable but He is Incomprehensible. Look for Him in the Gospels.
But about things people write here, I must say that after a while you will get to know names and what they write, and when you see those names again you can pretty much ignore their comments, whatever their belief system. Some muslims curse and use obscenities. I wish their writings could be blocked, but apparently it is not possible. Besides, by the terrible things they say the true spirit of Islam becomes more exposed for it's intolerance.
Finally, May the Lord continue to bless your work with the muslim friends and communities, give you gladness of heart, keep and protect you, always.
Dishonesty
Dear Parviz
I find it downright dishonest of you when you do not find any exhortations of cruelty to enemies in the Bible. And you donot find anything on being just to enemies in the Quran.
auqil
As long as he doesn't hurt/curse anybody.
Ehm, it depends of the religion's condition . The bible doesn't have any religious power right now since renaissance.
Hasan, the terrorist
In indonesian newspaper, Hasan had been reported as medical soldier who didn't want to go to Iraq (funny, because all muslim want to go there to die and enter heaven). So, he did that horrible shooting. Then they reported that Hasan had a relation with 9/11 attacks.
You are correct.
You are correct.
