In Islam, one is free to choose her/his religion

Many Muslims comment on apostasy and claim that People are free to choose their belief system in Islam. Individuals can leave Islam freely. I have shown in a previous article that Islamic law prescribes the death penalty for anyone who leaves Islam. I introduced evidence from the Qur’an and Hadith to show that this is in fact the case. Muhammad Asghar, a truly valued researcher of Islam published an article not long ago proving also that this is in fact the case. Apostates are to be put to death. But no matter what honest researchers of Islam say, Muslims will also deny the facts. In this article I introduce two links about Islam and Muslims’ practices regarding apostates. One is a Shi’a based link to show what Shia Muslims do to apostates. The other is a Sunni link. Even though Shia and Sunni Muslims may fight, and even kill, each other in some parts of the world, both Islamic denominations agree on killing anyone who leaves “the religion of peace”!!

On the Shia link there is a form via which anyone can send protest messages for the release of Maryam and Marzieh. I encourage all people who read this article, and particularly the Muslims who try to persuade us that according to Islam “there is no compulsion in religion”, to send their arguments to the recipients of these messages, who are various embassies of Iran.
